Joseph Menchaca, President and Chief Operating Officer
Joe Menchaca has more than 25 years of experience in both the professional services and software industries. Joe started his professional services career at Ernst & Young (E&Y). During his 15-plus years at E&Y, he assisted in the development and implementation of accounting and financial systems for a wide variety of organizations. He was one of the lead partners in developing the E&Y approach to software package selection and implementation.
Recruited by Microsoft Corporation to start Microsoft Consulting Services, he headed the consulting organizations for their Southeast and Central regions. He was then transferred to Microsoft headquarters to be the General Manager in charge of support services for consultants and systems engineers. While at Microsoft, Joe was responsible for establishing the software development framework used by Microsoft consultants. This framework was based on software development approaches used throughout Microsoft product development organizations.
Along with Envision Chief Technology Officer, Ed Staffin, Joe co-founded The Redmond Consulting Group, which assisted many corporations in developing business applications based on Microsoft products.
Joe has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Gannon University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He has undertaken substantial post graduate work in computer sciences and business administration.
Ed Staffin, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
Ed Staffin has been engaged in designing and developing software for more than 15 years and has a strong background in the application, development and implementation of advanced technology for large corporate clients. He has also designed several commercially successful tools for software development.
Before founding Envision, he was Vice President of E-Planet Solutions, Inc., where he led projects for major public corporations including Ernst & Young and Data Dimensions.
As a developer at Microsoft Consulting Services, Ed was responsible for helping large corporations implement client/server architectures using Microsoft technologies. In addition, Ed designed and developed Message Blaster, a component of several Microsoft applications including Office, Schedule+, and Stravinski, and invented the "tabbed dialog interface."
As Vice President of The Redmond Consulting Group, Inc., his clients included PeopleSoft, Inc., Microsoft Corporation, Options Clearing Corporation, Inc. and Competitive Solutions, Inc.
Ed holds a BSCS with Honors from Roosevelt University.
